In an age where environmental consciousness is no longer a choice but a necessity, the arts are embracing sustainability<\/strong> with open arms. The Project<\/strong> Butterfly<\/strong> stands at the forefront of this movement, redefining opera production through a lens of eco-consciousness and circularity.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The recent Butterfly meeting, held on May 7th<\/strong>, 2024, illuminated the innovative strategies and collaborative efforts underway to minimise the carbon footprint of opera production.<\/span><\/p>

Led by Thierry Leonardi<\/strong>, a sustainability expert who worked for more than 20 years at the Opera de Lyon<\/strong> as General Delegate first and Sustainability<\/strong> Manager<\/strong> then, the meeting delved into various aspects of sustainability, from eco-design<\/strong> principles to the reemployment of set elements, with a focus on the issue of carbon footprint<\/strong> within the CCIs sector and opera production.<\/span><\/p>

During the meeting, the expert introduced the previous themes with a brilliant presentation, including three examples<\/strong> of eco-design initiatives in the Opera scenario. <\/span>Join us and learn more about the sustainable strategies<\/strong> unveiled at the Butterfly meeting, towards a greener and more harmonious future for opera production.<\/span><\/p>
