Two of our partners, Heimspiel and Teatro Comunale di Modena, met in Linz for three days in September 2023 to take part in the Ars Electronica festival. They were both there to represent Project Butterfly. They also coordinated the next steps to advance our initiative to innovate opera sustainably.  

 

Project Butterfly is dedicated to more sustainable opera production within Europe and is initiated by Creative Europe. Participants in the project include students from Poland, Helsinki and Modena. In addition, there will be professional storytellers and composers. The set design, moving image formats, and documentary material will also be professionally developed with partners, such as Heimspiel, from 2024.

 

The creative team will meet for the first time in 2024. Production will also take place from 2024 and is currently being planned.
